Jonathan is a creative and visionary musical director, with a reputation for innovative programming and a friendly but super-efficient rehearsal style.

Jonathan founded and conducts the semi-professional East London Evensong Choir. Alongside its core mission - sharing Evensong with East End parish churches - it has served as visiting choir at Chelmsford, St. Edmundsbury and Southwark Cathedrals and St. Martin in the Fields. More details are available on the choir's website.

Jonathan is in demand as an MD for musical theatre and opera, conducting from the piano La Traviata for Devon Opera and The Pirates of Penzance, HMS Pinafore, Patience, Suor Angelica and Amahl and the Night Visitors for Opera Anywhere in 2018/19.

In the world of entertainment, Jonathan is resident MD at the Ivory Vaults at Tower Bridge, overseeing cabaret for corporate nights and themed events.

Jonathan's enthusiasm for working in his native East London is unwavering. He conducts the Aldersbrook Community Choir in Wanstead; is Director of Music and organist at the historic Anglo-Catholic church St. Peter, London Docks in Wapping; and is currently working with Poplar Union to found and launch the East London Children's Choir.
